Garage Floor Coating
Garage flooring is frequently exposed to chemical substances, water, salt, and dirt which can cause a lot of damage to the concrete floor over time.

If not well protected concrete tends to create cracks and discoloration spots in it. It also tends to absorb various substances that might be spilled on the floor, leaving unattractive and even unhealthy stains, which can only be removed by special concrete cleaners. Applying a garage floor coating provides that extra resistance and durability to your flooring.
Preparation:
Applying a coating on your concrete floor is a very simple project, and does not require any professional skills or experience. Before you start, it is very important to clean the floor thoroughly. Make sure all the grease stains are removed from the floor. For those stubborn stains you can use a concrete cleaner called Etcher. Etcher is a toxic chemical so take safety precautions while using this cleaner.
Applying method:
Once the floor is completely clean, you can start applying the coating onto your concrete floor. There are two layers composing the coating. The first one is the base coat and the second is the top coat. The base coat has the purpose to insure a good bond between the coating and the actual floor. Between the base coat and the floor there is usually the primer. The primer acts as an adhesive and it is important to let it dry for 24 hours before applying the first layer of the floor coating.
The top layer must be applied after 48 hours and should be left to dry at least 5 days before getting any vehicle on top of it.
Maintenance:
Floor coating is very easy to maintain, just simple mopping and sweeping will do the job.
Garage floor coating prolongs the perfect, spotless appearance of your floor, and increase the comfort inside you garage and make the environment safer and more adequate for work.
